---For those who are confused and don't know how to make a character template.. My suggestion would be to use this...
[[Modify it to your likings]]
o Name of your Character.
o Name of the Bloodlimit the character is in. If character has no Bloodlimit then please state "None". User may have only 1 Bloodlimit per character.
o Height of your character. The Maximum height of a character may not exceed past 8 feet, and may not be smaller than 4 feet.
o Weight of your character. Maximum weight of a character may not exceed past 500 lbs, and may not be smaller than 60 lbs. Be realistic between size and weight.
o Age of Character and be realistic accordingly.
Starting Age Limit
A character may not be younger according to what Class Level they are. Reminder everyone starts off as a "D" Class character. User may be older than the starting age.
# "D" - 8 years
# "C" - 10 years
# "B" - 12 years
# "A" - 14 years
# "S" - 16 years
Note: Be mindful of your starting age because NFRP has an aging system whether you are RPing or not. Every 6 Real Life months equals 1 RP year. No one is allowed to opt out of this, nor change their age around how they feel.
o Gender of Character. Male or Female.
o Every Character is defined (loosely) around an alignment. Please go through the Alignments Board to take a closer look at what Alignment your character may be. This is normally defined by your character's personality.
o The Country your character was Born in.
o Village or City your character resides in. Examples would be Hidden Villages, Custom Cities, or Others. User may make up a city as well as long as it is not a real life city.
o What Specialists are you and what Releases, Clans, Perceptions, Fighting Styles, and/or Miscellaneous are you going into. Please go through the Specialists Thread for a closer look at what Specialists are. To make it more organized you may list what fighting styles, clans, releases, perceptions and/or miscellaneous you are in or wish to be in.
o User may start with 1 main weapon that is "C" Rank or below that has no special properties or unique attacks. There are no exceptions to this rule. If Item states that there is a small, medium, and large version in a single equipment template user may only start with the smallest. Please look through the Main Weapons Index to get a better idea of main weapons. Please put the full item description as listed on the site.
+ Puppets - Read this Thread for further information.
+ Animal Companions - May start off with a Medium Sized animal or smaller.
+ 2 Weapons - May start with two weapons that are in a pair, or act like a pair. Rule excludes Puppets and Animal Companions.
o User starts with a Butt Bag Type 1 (Overview) that may hold 15 slots of Secondary Items. To hold more secondary items you must purchase more pouches of different kinds. found in Apparel Index. All non explosives, or wasteful items are retrievable. User may only start with "C" Rank items or below. For a list please look at Secondary Weapon Index or Apparel Index. Please put the full item description as listed on the site. User may divide the 15 slot holders as well evenly such as having 15 Single Scroll Size Pouch (Overview) instead of the Butt Bag Type 1 (Overview) if they wish as long as it equals 15 Slots in total.
o Instead of a weapon user may start with a Non Weapon item such as an Instrument. User may only choose 1 Non-Weapon Item over a Weapon that is "C" Rank or below that has no special properties or unique attacks. No exceptions to this rule. If Item states that there is a small, medium, and large version in a single equipment template user may only start with the smallest. Please put the full item description as listed on the site.
o List the totality of qualities and traits, as of character or behavior, that are peculiar to the character. List the pattern of collective character, behavioral, temperamental, emotional, and mental traits of a person. Personality creates Alignment and not the other way around. Must be written within 3 paragraphs for Non-Bloodlimits, and 5 Paragraphs for Bloodlimit characters. For better organization and presentation for the paragraphs, it is advised to keep it between 5 to 6 sentences making up each paragraph. If you have trouble fleshing out personality please take a look at Personality Writing. Also go through alignments as they tend to help with stating what a character may be like.
o Must describe a person in detail such as face shape (Square, oval, round, triangular, heart-shaped), Skin/Face/Complexion (Freckled, Rosy, Ruddy, Tanned, Wrinkled, or other), Eyes (General information, expressions, shape and size as well as mouth and lips), Hair (Texture/Appearance, Hair Styles, Lots of Hair, Little Hair, Treated Hair, Hair Colors), Facial Hair (Beard, Goatee, Mustache, Sideburns, Five o'clock shadow with adjectives), and Clothing (The fabric, the Bottoms, the Tops, and other). Must be written within 3 paragraphs for Non-Bloodlimits, and 5 Paragraphs for Bloodlimit characters. For better organization and presentation for the paragraphs, it is advised to keep it between 5 to 6 sentences making up each paragraph. If you have trouble you may look at Describing a Person: Adding Details for help.
o Your character's background is important as it make him or her the person they are today. Do they have any hidden secrets? Has it been a strange set of circumstances that lead them to where they are today? Nasty things happening to them as a child might make them a stronger person, or it might make them a total nut-job. A character with a dark and dodgy background is usually more interesting to write about than someone who grew up in a safe loving environment.
But don't go too overboard! Make it realistic at least, the worst character histories are ones that mention the character has saved the world twice before their 16th birthday. Don't make your character an unbelievable hero! It will make them extremely hard to play, and it will frustrate everyone else when your character kills a million people in one paragraph without any drama or suspense.
If you want to have a lot of fun posting, you need to give your character some challenges to overcome, and conflicts to get out of. A post about a character struggling to fight an enemy barehanded by being resourceful is loads more interesting than about someone who just stands still easily shooting loads of people dead. A character who finds everything easy is boring to write about.
A good background might lead you to wanting to explore more into it at some moments. Maybe something that happened in the past has just popped into mind by something in the present, it could be interesting to see your character have a flashback (but only if it's relevant, this isn't series 1 of Lost). Keep as many relatives or old friends alive, in case you want to have your character bump into them at some stage, and maybe uncover some dark secret from their past. This could be a good opportunity for character development in a time when posting is going slow, or the storyline is in a slump.
Must be written within 3 paragraphs for Non-Bloodlimits, and 5 Paragraphs for Bloodlimit characters. If Character is Non-Ninja user must add 2 Extra Paragraphs explaining why and how they can mold chakra. For better organization and presentation for the paragraphs, it is advised to keep it between 5 to 6 sentences making up each paragraph. If you have trouble you may look at Character History in RPG Applications for help.
Note: Paragraphs do have leeway, and you may have conversations within backgrounds. We will not deny a bio if it's small but may ask for more information.
